Intra-Africa Trade Fair

Intra-Africa
proforamah.jpg Afreximbank has identified that one of the main obstacles to growing intra-African trade, is not necessarily a lack of
infrastructure, as one may think, but rather a lack of relevant trade information. Historically, African countries are more familiar with markets in Europe and America than they are with neighboring countries, resulting in the all too common phenomenon, of
manufacturers sourcing materials from abroad, when they could access the same materials from within Africa, more cheaply. Afreximbank President, Professor Benedict Oramah points out that this is a result of the legacy of colonialism on the Continent, and needs
to be redressed through initiatives like the Intra-African Trade Fair. One of the key objectives of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF), is to provide a platform for the exchange of information. To this end, a Trade Finance Conference will run parallel to
the trade fair. Experts from across the continent and abroad, will be speaking at the conference, which will bring stakeholders from industry and government agencies together to find solutions to the obstacles hampering regional trade. Visitors to the IATF
can attend both the fair itself and the conference, free of charge. You can register as a visitor/delegate on our

website
We look forward to seeing you in Cairo.
