Tunisian takes part in conference on « Sport Market in Arab World » organised by Arab World Institute

(TAP) – The Arab World Institute (IMA) organised Tuesday in Paris, a conference on « The Sports Market in the Arab World », which aims to explore the challenges and opportunities related to the sports market.

Several topics were discussed, including infrastructure, innovation, media rights, sustainable development, etc., on the eve of major international sporting events such as the African Cup of Nations, which begins on June 21 in Egypt, the Football World Cup in Qatar in 2020, the World Handball Championship in Egypt in 2021 and the Mediterranean Games in Oran in 2021.

This meeting brought together the greatest players in the world of sport in France and the Arab world, and Tunisia was represented by Tarek Kharrat, a doctor of statistics specialising in the analysis of football data based in England, Bassem Loukil, president of the Loukil group, one of the main sponsors of Tunisian sport, Mourad Zeghidi, a journalist specialising in communication and fencer Ines Boubakri, bronze medalist at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

In addition, an exhibition on football « Football and the Arab World, the Football Revolution » is being held at the IMA from April 10 to July 21, 2010, focusing on the influence of the king’s sport in Arab societies and during the revolutions.
